Oswego County will be celebrating its 161st annual County Fair in August 2018. So, get ready for some exciting events from August 8th to 12th! The Oswego County Fair will be open to the public from 12 pm to 9 pm every day. Locals are already talking about this year’s theme: “Where Neighbors Become Friends.” There is excitement in the air as patrons of all ages anticipate the events of the fair.

Legislator / Senior Day (August 8th)
Visitors can expect a plethora of activities on the opening day of the event. Start the day off at the Harness Race at 11 am and then check out a BMX bike show. There’s even a parade, live music, raffles, and a fireworks display at dusk.
Agricultural Day (August 9th)
The Youth Dairy Show begins at 9 am on August 9th. Subsequent events will begin at noon. Patrons can look forward to a Sawdust Hunt, a Frozen T-Shirt contest, a Skillet-throwing contest, a Demolition Derby, and a Barnyard Olympics.
1st Responder / Veteran’s Day (August 10th)
On Friday, the main events consist of a Talent Show, the Youth Open Swine and Sheep Shows, as well as the Street Legal Truck Pull. Be aware that all drivers for the Legal Truck Pull must be at least 18 and have a valid driver’s license. All drivers must also sign a release waiver. Meanwhile, events such as the Sawdust Hunt will continue throughout the week.
Children’s Day (August 11th)
Children’s Day will begin at 10 am with the Youth Goat Show. Subsequently, the Antique Car Show will begin at noon, followed by the Youth Dog Event, the Pie Eating Contest, and the Junior Rabbit and Cavy Show.
Family Day (August 12th)
The Open Horse Show will begin at 9 am. It will be followed by the Open Dairy Show at 10 am and the Super Showman Event at 1 pm. Patrons can enjoy a Hay Bale Toss at 2 pm. The day will end with raffle drawings and youth award ceremonies. There will also be an antique tractor pull, a balloon toss, and a BMX bike show.
