In fact, you can find a plethora of fun, free activities in Oswego!

Check out some of our top picks for free things to do in Oswego.

The Oswego Park District

The Oswego Park District boasts 60 parks, located on 995 acres. These include 30 neighborhood parks, 3 community parks, 5 sports fields, 13 natural park areas, and 9 greenways. All parks are open from dawn until dusk, and each park has features that set it apart from the others. For example, Augusta Lake Park offers fishing. Barnaby Park, Ashgate Park, and many others offer a playground equipment, exercise trails, basketball courts, and baseball backstops. If you’re looking to spend time with nature, check out Marina Woods Park, Millstone Park, or Violet Patch Park; all of these parks provide nature trails, stunning views, and fire pits. Just because fall is almost over doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy some fresh air outside!

A Glass of Wine by the Fire

If you’re looking for a way to warm up this season, you can always stop by Fox Valley Winery. Tastings are hosted daily and a flight of 3 wine tastings is free while premium tastings are only $5. You can also curl up with your favorite wine by the fireplace, go on a tour of the winemaking facilities, or shop for that perfect hostess gift.

Oswego Public Library

For more free fun that can be enjoyed during inclement weather or during the cold winter months, check out the Oswego Public Library. Books, movies, video games, and a wide variety of adult programs make this the perfect place for you to explore your imagination! Children and adults alike can take advantage of the free classes, seminars, reading suggestion lists, and festivals hosted by the library and its staff.
