The Botanic Garden opened more than forty years ago, becoming one of the world’s greatest conservation science centers. Its gardens are a local favorite, and the center welcomes over a million visitors annually. Of course, the gardens have also become a seasonal favorite.
All three of the garden’s impressive greenhouses are decked out for the holidays. In the tropical greenhouse, you’ll find colorful poinsettia spheres and slow-growing spindle palms wrapped in white lights. Meanwhile, the subtropical greenhouse displays blue hydrangeas and topiary animals. In the arid section, visitors will see baskets of Christmas cactus, kalanchoe, and burro’s tails. Plus, you’ll find caroling, ice sculpting, and more as you wander the premises.
